Some tests made by myself:
- initially image was loaded from SD card and next placed on SD with USB stick (USB checked)
- Armbian image was written to eMMC 256G and now it is booting from eMMC
- Ethernet end0 was checked locally with link to my laptop
- PCIE was checked with my wifi card is Mediatek 7925 as internet connection works too

Link to experimental image based on Kwiboo repo - a big thanks for a huge work!

Please also remember as it is experimental and all you do it is on your own risk :)
Good work, but I have a few questions:
  • What is your partition layout on this?
  • Any differences to Armbian on a supported system?
  • From the GitHub, I cannot see what the issues that are remaining do in practice.
What is the impact on using the board as a small server?

Most important maybe: Is there anything I can do to help as a non-programmer?
Actually I guess for NanoPi Zero2 the topic is over except some extra drivers to be compiled for example for wifi card on pcie.
For partition layout all is based on Armbian typical buid scripts so no intervention from side was done.
Generally Armbian goes its own path and I think now kernel proposed is 6.18 but here you have got 7.0-rc6 :)
You can use it but I think this board is designed for really small scope as only 2GB RAM but you can find the implementation

yeahhh... just test it :)
