I'm currently evaluating a Linux based ARM board for a small office automation project, and so far the overall performance has been quite stable. One of the peripherals I'm testing is a biometric attendance device, and I'm interested in making sure it can run reliably for long periods without communication issues or requiring manual reconnects after a reboot.
The hardware side seems straightforward, but I'm curious about the software side. Has anyone here worked with USB or network based attendance terminals on FriendlyELEC boards? I'd appreciate any recommendations on drivers, kernel versions, or libraries that have proven stable in real deployments.
The attendance data will eventually be synchronized with Vertex-HCM, but at this stage I'm mainly focused on building a dependable Linux environment before integrating it with the HR application.
