Upgrading existing FriendlyWrt on EMMC

Hi,
happy new year !

How can I update my existing FriendlyWrt on EMMC from 23.XX.XX to FriendlyWRT 24.XX.XX without losing my configuration and configuration data (practically a sys install like in openWrt) ?

You might be able to do something similar to a sysupgrade, but don’t count on a clean in-place upgrade between 23 → 24 without issues.

FriendlyWrt is basically a customized build of OpenWrt, but FriendlyARM doesn’t always guarantee full compatibility between major releases like upstream does. And even in vanilla OpenWrt, jumping major versions is where things get risky.
