Hi Davef,

We actually decrease the clock of the RAM in our latest images for M1 therefore relieving the overheat issues.
However we haven't applied this method to our 4418 image files and are not sure whether it can work.

Do older operating system images really help with overheating on the NanoPi M1? In my experience, yes! Using a slightly older Debian image noticeably reduced the CPU temperature compared to a newer, fully updated one. I didn't push it too hard, but there was no longer the constant thermal throttling.
