go to armbian-config -> system -> hardware and enable all usb ports.

It has built in 8GB that boots from it does see the SD card and will boot from that. I got a USB SSD reader and put a image on it but it just boots from the built in 8GB then and when it boots from there a fdisk -l still don't see the SSD. I guess it's like the SD cards they say tested with it that...
